Content Optimization- Importance of title tags
Search Engine determines the page's content by first looking at the page title. The title tells the users and the Search Engines what is the content about. The following describes the correct way to utilize the title tag.
Placement and limitations for TITLE
It is advisable to place the TITLE tag just under the HEAD tag in the html. You should limit the number of characters in the TITLE tag to around 40 and 60 (including spaces). Under 40 may make the title too brief and getting the characters more than 60 will dilute the keywords density.
Different TITLE description for every page
Every page should have their own titles. The purpose of title is to describe the page's content, not the site's. Therefore, having a descriptive title will increase the chance of your webpage showing up in the top few searches for the targeted keywords.
Write a descriptive TITLE tag
A title like 'Example.com- Home' does not really helps the Search Engine in knowing your content. Always focus on what is the document about and relate it to the title. A more descriptive title looks something like 'All free resources for SEO - Example.com'.
